We Can Find Happiness

What really makes you happy?

Is it being a size 2?

Is it having enough money to buy EVERYTHING you want?

Is it the acceptance of those around us?

How can we really.. truly.. be happy in this life?

I don't know about you.. but I want lasting happiness.

I want something that does not fade.

I want the gospel. For me. For my Family.

For all the world.

Pain. The best way to heal is having a good caregiver

hey, have any of you out there experienced pain? I know I have.. and I mean literal physical pain. i remember when I had my appendix rupture.. I thought it couldn't get worse, then I had a terrible neck injury that put me out of commission for nearly a year.. and I thought for sure it couldn't get worse.. then my gallbladder acted up and I had to get that removed on my mission! Seriously pain is awful.. it can really dull your senses and just make everything around you miserable.. So how do we get through it? how do we get through the - why is this happening to me? - or will this ever end?      I wanna share my favorite talk on pain and how to get to a place where we are comfortable.. and even feel joy.. despite our situation. I know that Jesus Christ experienced all our pain.. yep all of it. Enjoy.

Hunting. News to me

Montana is all about hunting. ha I have never been much of a hunter.. scratch that I don't know anything about hunting/never been or desired to. ha

But hey I have learned so much about it and there are a lot of families here who hunt and eat dear meat all Winter.. it's actually quite logical because they spend nothing all Winter to feed the family.
Hunting may never be for me.. but I commend those who can live off the land.

Enos was a hunter.. in the Book of Mormon you can read all about his experience.. he felt close to God out in his hunting element. and he prayed mightily to God to help him out of his predicament. To read click here.
I love Norman Rockwell. Look he thinks hunting is interesting too!

Create, You know you want to

So my mom sent me a picture of a mural I did in highschool. It brought back alot of memories for me.. while I can't paint on my mission for lack of time I am excited for the day i will be able to develop that talent further.. and while I am here in Montana there are so many new ideas spinning in my head for what I can paint later..
We all have talents that are given to us to help us enjoy life more.. to learn more.. God doesn't want us to just punch in the clock from 8-6 every day.. he wants us to devlop and share what we can offer to others. I know that God has a plan for us all and that though we may have rough spots in our journey EVERYTHING we go through can be for our benefit, if we just look at the positives.
